Abstract
This chapter explores the potential for Virtual Reality (VR) technologies
to enhance employment opportunities for autistic adults. The Chapter
will describe VR, review the research literature and evaluate its potential
benefits to autistic people. Examples of VR systems are presented that
have been investigated for vocational training, along with the evidence
regarding their usability and effectiveness. Recommendations are made
for good design practices and future research directions.
