Abstract

Assesses intersite differences in the likely impact of macrofaunal bioturbation based on a knowledge of the vertical distribution and feeding mode of the invertebrates encountered. Results indicate clear differences between locations, with one site, north-east of Anticosti Island in the Gulf of St Lawrence, having the greatest potential for bioturbatory mediation of sediment diagenetic processes. -from Authors
