Abstract
Studies microanalytic spatial processes in this region; the authors have focused on this geographical scale since they consider the regional perspective to be better than the national for the observation of actual changes. The paper distinguishes the following territorial systems: urban; rurban; rural; and mountainous systems. Various transition processes have had unequal effects on each part of the region's spatial structure, the focus of the paper is to examine these differential effects. The authors select two general processes, reindustrialization and tertiarization, and two peripheral processes, return migration and the spatial distribution of local initiatives. -after Authors
