Abstract
The International Council for Traditions of Music and Dance (ICTMD) Ireland has played a significant and ongoing role in the promotion of Irish musical research in its twenty-year history. Rooted in archival research, this article outlines a history of the organisation, charting the evolution of ICTMD Ireland and the key figures within its development.
