Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate how a newly designated university school can transform its culture to value research as well as teaching. As qualitative studies best capture and explain the uniqueness of experience, a qualitative evidence synthesis (QES) was employed to extract and integrate the potentially transferrable findings from individual case studies of other faculties with similar backgrounds that have undergone past cultural change interventions to transform from teaching-oriented cultures to research cultures. This short paper describes the QES process undertaken.
