Tissue viability imaging for assessment of microvascular events

Abstract

A method for Tissue Viability Imaging is presented, based on polarisation spectroscopy. A theory based on red blood cell (RBC) and tissue light absorption provides information about the amount of RBCs in the microvasculature.
