Abstract

Keane M. J. (1989) The significance ofspatial dependencies in small area income determination models, Reg. Studies 23, 000-00. This paper uses a logit model of consumer spatial behaviour to derive some measures of the degree of economic support provided by the local area non-resident community to their adjacent first order centre. A formal model is developed and simulations are made on this model. Through these simulations a range of values of the support coefficient are identified and discussed.
