Abstract
There have been important advances in establishing a sound evidence base for mental health promotion in recent years. There is consensus that there are clusters of known risk and protective factors for mental health and there is evidence that interventions can reduce identified risk factors and enhance known protective factors (Mrazek amp; Haggerty, 1994).
