Research output: Book/ReportEdited Bookpeer-review

Abstract

The Challenge of eCompetence in Academic Staff Development draws on individual and institutional case studies from universities across Europe (and beyond) in order to explore common problems faced by those working in academic staff development in this age of eLearning. Whilst presenting concrete examples of experience from these institutions, we also take a closer look at the issues of definitions, conceptualisations and of approaches to identifying the components of eCompetence. Additionally, we turn our attention to institutional policies and frameworks that attempt to address eCompetence on the larger scale by developing strategic programmes and providing organisational leadership.
