Abstract
This paper assesses a number of scenarios in the Irish immigration and asylum field that could follow from Brexit. While Ireland may come under political pressure to better align its immigration and asylum policy with that of the EU, its manoeuvrability in this regard is constrained by the Common Travel Area with the UK. This paper explores the legal and political ramifications of the different options.
