Abstract
Tests to ensure the electromagnetic compatibility of a new device before it can be used in a vehicle through immunity and emission tests are discussed. Test results are presented for existing 12 V/14 V components and compared with 36 V/42 V components for inductive (relay) loads, motor and cranking pulses.
