This workshop describes the potential for community   university partnerships to address marginalisation and discrimination of people in sexual and gender minorities communities. I will share one example of a research project that identifies and celebrates the people and places on NUI Galway s campus that support(ed) the development of LGBTQ+ rights, services, and culture in Galway and throughout Ireland. I will talk about this project, (the Mapping LGBT+ Lives at NUI Galway project) within personal contexts as a constructivist grounded theory researcher and in the context of the ethical commitments of social work. We will also listen to the experiences   feedback of participants in this workshop.
