Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) The synthesis of bivalent mannosides by the grafting of α-D-mannopyranoside onto monosaccharide acceptors and conjugation to terephthalic acid or phenylenediamine is described. Computational methods were used to predict accessible orientations and distances between the mannose units.
