Abstract

X-ray analysis of the title compound revealed infinite helical chains of [Ag(SalGly)] units (SalGly = α-N-(o-hydroxybenzyl)glycinate) linked through monatomic carboxylate bridges. In the crystal packing two unconnected helical chains wind around each other, thus forming a double helix.
