Abstract
Bioaerosol samples were collected on the west coast of Ireland using an aerojet sampler. A combination of meteorological and condensation nuclei data were used to determine air mass sources, and data include samples from both marine and continental air sources. The size distribution analysis (0.5 μm < r < 4 μm) was carried out using a light microscope. Both marine and continental show a maximum concentration at around r = 1 μm. As expected, continental air shows up to 2.5 times higher biological and total aerosol concentrations than marine air for all particle size ranges.
