Abstract
The paper examines changes in sexuality attitudes, knowledge
and behaviour among university students in Galway city. While young peoples
sexuality is quite often analysed within the sexual risks framework, greater
understanding of gender equality in sexual decisions, attitudes to
non-heterosexuality and sexual health need to be addressed. The analyses are
based on survey findings from repeated convenience sample of first year
university students in 2000 and 2010 in order to contribute to youth-centred sexuality
debates.
