Abstract
The results of a survey of statistical quality control usage in Ireland are discussed, and comparisons are made with surveys undertaken in Australia, India, the United States of America and Great Britain. It is concluded that industry would benefit from an increased use of SQC, but emphasis is also placed on the need for quality management.
