Abstract

We present a very general existence theorem for a nonlinear singular integral equation using the Schauder-Tychonoff fixed point theorem. Our result automatically guarantees the existence of a positive solution to a problem arising in draining and coating flows. (C) 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
