    Abstract

    The 9th session of the University of Galway Rural Studies Centre Seminar Series, established in conjunction with the Department of Rural and Community Development (DRCD), featured Nadia Blanchfield, Dr Felicity Kelliher, Dr Eugene Crehan and Dr Seamus Dillon of South East Technological University, as well as Fionnn hOgin from dars na Gaeltachta who told the story of how a collaborative research ethos grew between the South East Technological University and dars na Gaeltachta. The resultant project seeks to optimally support Irelands indigenous businesses, specifically those residing in our Gaeltacht communities. It discussed how their individual organisations have combined research experience and immersed context knowledge to build a project that focuses on Bridging Peripheral Business Communities through Native Culture Engagement Leveraging Digital Technologies, funded under the Irish Research Councils Enterprise Partnership Scheme and dars na Gaeltachta.
