Abstract

Positive solutions are obtained for the (p, n - p) focal singular boundary value problem (-1)n-p y(n) = φ(t) f(t, y), 0 < t < 1, with y(i)(0) = 0, 0 ≤ i ≤ p - 1, and y(i)(1) = 0, p ≤ i ≤ n - 1. Here f may be singular at y = 0.
