Abstract
This chapter examines rented housing (both private and social) in Ireland in the context of tenancy law and human rights. Significant recent cases, where the European Convention on Human Rights has had a major impact, are considered. The chapter also examines the impact of EU law, particularly consumer law, on rented housing law in Ireland.
