Abstract

The use of enzyme electrodes can be considered as an inherently sensitive method for the detection of inhibitors and activators enzyme activity because of the amplifying nature imparted by substrate turnover and the specificity of the biological recognition. This approach is based on the homogeneous exchange of electrons between solution redox couples and various kinds of enzymes.
