Abstract

A description is given of Production Activity Control (PAC). PAC is defined and its goals are identified. The position that PAC occupies in the Production and Inventory Management hierarchy is discussed. Also described are the features of a general PAC information system as well as the operational criteria of such a system. An account of current PAC technology and a short discussion of possible future developments are given.
