Abstract

This paper presents existence results to the nonlinear boundary value problem y” + f(t,y,y') = 0, 0 < t < 1 with y satisfying either (i). y(0) = y'(1) = 0 or (ii).y(0) = y(1) = 0. The problems discussed may be singular at either y = 0 or y' = 0 or both. Singularities at t = 0 and/or t = 1 are also discussed.
