Abstract

his paper describes a low cost portable system which allows stroke victims to improve their bipedal symmetry. The system measures the pressure distribution on the patients feet and encourages them to develop a full range of motion, using the pressure data as input into a simple game on the patient's PDA. This provides the patient with a valuable learning tool in the home, allowing them to lessen their performance deficit.
