Abstract

The PARFORCE project was set up to determine the formation mechanisms involved in coastal nucleation and the regional and global importance of coastal nucleation to the background aerosol concentration. Nucleation events were observed on 27 days out of 30 campaign days. In characterization of these nucleation events, three typical event types were classified.
