Multiple myeloma in the west of Ireland, presentation and frequency

Abstract

A two-year experience with myeloma in the Galway hospitals is reported. In all, thirty-two cases were seen, indicating an unusually high frequency of the disease. Clinical and laboratory features at presentation, and those features associated with a bad initial outcome, are discussed.
