Mind the Gap Barriers to the realisation of the rights of children with disabilities in Ireland

Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned Reportpeer-review

Abstract

The Ombudsman for Childrens Office in conjunction with the Centre for Disability Law and Policy at NUI Galway have launched Mind The Gap, research into the barriers facing children with disabilities in Ireland. Our research found that children with disabilities are often invisible, children with disabilities are not heard and children with disabilities do not count. We want this report to spark further discussion about the barriers impacting children with disabilities and how they can be addressed.
