Abstract

To elucidate the occurrence of new particle formation on the basis of a sufficiently long observational period, a long-term field experiment was conducted on top of HohenpeiBerg in southern Germany. For the first time, ultrafine atmospheric particles <10 nm and phase concentrations of sulphuric acid were measured simultaneously over a long time period.
