Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: The primary objective of this review is to examine the effects of laser photocoagulation for NPDR and PDR in the prevention of severe visual loss. A secondary objective is to compare the effects of photocoagulation techniques based on different laser types, (e.g. xenon, argon, krypton, others) and for different laser frequency wavelengths.
