Abstract: The use of information technologies became widespreading increasingly in clinical trials. This prevents data loss, reduces cost of research and increases productivity. Collecting patient data in one system, simplifies the process of transformation of the data to information. Instead of just patients data archiving and sharing, it is also expected that current patient information systems which is used in the healthcare institutions, have to support the doctors about their clinic decisions. Lots of studies which indicates the effects of "clinical decision support systems" about decision-making, disease management, diagnosis and treatment shows that these systems increases the quality of patient care. In this study, we created a patient information system that determines the stage of disease automatically for a clinical research on chronic pancreatitis.
