Abstract
Derek Jarmans wide-ranging
artistic work painting, writing, gardening and film-making offered an original
and unexpected view of things. He combined an insistence on gay sexual politics
as part of an engaged Englishness whilst expanding the boundaries of artistic
form and sexual content.
