Abstract
Parents arguably need support with their demanding responsibilities, yet not all support is helpful. Through exploration of Polish migrant parents’ and service providers’ perspective on help-seeking in a culturally diverse neighbourhood in Ireland, this chapter highlights the importance of considering cultural attitudes as well as migrant status when planning and delivering parenting support. While government policies are certainly moving in the right direction, services are yet to seek and incorporate parental views for effective support provision and better outcomes.
