Abstract

Discusses the possibility of detection and study of flares in all ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum which are related to gamma-ray bursts. This possibility can be provided by means of gravitational lensing of cosmological gamma-bursts in an intervening galaxy. It is noted that the photometric history of events related to gamma-bursts can be studied if the event caused by gravitational lensing is recurrent. It is shown by the example of the optical transient of the gamma-burst GRB 970508 with z=0.833 that under simple assumptions, at least two-fold recurrence of the flash is possible. The amplitude of these recurrences is as small as 2 - 10 times, while the time delay is tens of seconds to weeks. The lower limit of the effect detection probability is about 1\%.
