Abstract
The region(s) within the magnetosphere where the IR -- UV emissions arise is essentially unknown. This work is an attempt to place constraints on possible emission regions using a computationally intensive, inverse mapping approach. This approach can yield a localisation of emission regions within the magnetosphere and also gives an estimate of pulsar inclination angles. Initial results for PSR B0531+21 (the Crab) are presented.
