Abstract
This Research Handbook is dedicated to understanding post-conviction law, policy, and practice in the context of atrocity crimes. It explores how this law and process can impact, inform, or alter (perceptions of) punishment, as well as the legitimacy of the imposing institutions and legal systems. The Handbook offers critical perspectives on punishment that supplement and at times challenge existing literature.
