I-1 imidazoline receptor

Research output: Chapter in Book or Conference Publication/ProceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

The pharmacology and physiology of I1 binding sites is perhaps better understood than that of I2 and I3 binding sites. Ligands that demonstrate selectivity for I1 binding sites have already found clinical use for the treatment of hypertension. These ligands act on I1 binding sites located in the brainstem. The molecular biology and signal transduction mechanisms of the I1 binding site are also relatively well characterized..
