Abstract
The high-temperature oxidation of ethylene oxide has been modelled in the temperature and pressure ranges of 1050-1400 K and 1.9-5.0 atm, respectively, with equivalence ratios, phi, varying from 0.5 to 2, and a mechanism of 60 steps and 30 species was assembled. A comparison of calculated and recently established measurements of the ignition delay of ethylene oxide-oxygen-argon mixtures showed very good agreement.
