Abstract

In this paper, we propose an enhanced cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) for Hybrid Homogeneous-Heterogeneous Cognitive Radio Networks (HCRNs) which utilizes (i) the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) to evaluate the degree of reliability, and (ii) the reporting time to merges as a flexible sensing time in order to evaluate spectrum sensing more accurately. Before making a global decision based on the Dempster-Shafer (D-S) theory at the Fusion Centre (FC), the flexible sensing time is applied to adopt its sensing data. Simulation results show that our proposed scheme achieves better detection gain than conventional schemes.
