Abstract

The 17th World Energy Council congress was held in Houston, Texas, in September 1998. Industry and government leaders from over 100 nations discussed and debated the key issues that guide energy resource development and utilization for the next 100 years. The congress celebrated the contribution to mankind that energy development and utilization have made over the last 100 years.
