Abstract
Assessing the value of the creative sector is a complex task. It not only has economic value, which in itself is difficult to measure, but in particular, its cultural sub-sectors strongly contribute to social and cultural development. This impact assessment presents key economic estimates, but perhaps more importantly, our analysis goes beyond traditional economic measures to also encompass a wider socio-economic focus. To do this, we combine existing knowledge and statistics, with online survey data and in-depth interviews with creative sector entrepreneurs from the North Iceland region
