Abstract
Computer control of a low-cost, high performance bipotentiostat, the Pine AFCBP1, has been achieved using software written in LabVIEW. The computer-controlled bipotentiostat can be used to perform linear-sweep and cyclic voltammetric experiments on two working electrodes in the same cell simultaneously. The software communicates with the bipotentiostat via a National Instruments 12-bit data acquisition board (AT-MIO-16E-10) installed in a PC. Validation of the performance of the computer-controlled bipotentiostat was achieved by comparison of voltammograms recorded using the instrument with those recorded from the same cell using a commercial computer-controlled potentiostat (BAS100B/W).
