Abstract

Infrared spectra of [(eta-5C5Me5)Fe(CO)3][BF4] in the nu(MC-O) region show separate peaks due to ion pairs and solvated molecules. The crystal structure of the complex determined at - 110-degrees-C showed no unexpected bond lengths or angles.
