Abstract

The chemical kinetic models for the combustion of hydrocarbon fuels are discussed. The kinetic models for the intermediate to high temperature oxidation, ignition and combustion of hydrocarbons were applied on all classes of hydrocarbons. A number of different approaches including the measurement of rate coefficients and concentration profiles were required for the stable species.
