Designing to Enhance Academic Buoyancy: A Snapshot of First Steps in a Second Level School Setting

    Abstract

    Academic buoyancy generally refers to students' ability to respond to everyday challenges in academic settings. This paper presents insights in to a design-based research pilot intervention that is informed by a multi-ontological framework that included conceptual pillars of: engagement, collaboration and reflection. Preliminary findings are presented, the emergence of co-creation as a core element of the success of the pilot is explored, and next steps discussed.
