Abstract
Three celiac disease patients developed adenocarcinoma of the right side of the colon at ages of 47, 53, and 57. One had been diagnosed as celiac disease 10 years previously and had ulcerative colitis for four years, in the other two the diagnosis of the carcinoma and celiac disease were made within months of each other. These patients were from a group of celiacs in which 17 other carcinomas and 31 lymphomas had presented during a 25-year period. An association of celiac disease with right-sided colon adenocarcinoma is suggested.
