Ageism in health policy

Research output: Contribution to a Journal (Peer & Non Peer)Articlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper explores the extent to which health policy in Ireland can be said to be ageist. Following the identification of key pieces of legislation and related polcy and strategy documents, the documents were reviewed, using the definitions and descriptions of ageism (e.g. Butler, 1969; Scrutton, 1990; Arber and Evandrou, 1993; Braithwaite, 2001) as a framework for analysis.
