A Turn Towards Fundamental Rights or Just a Swerve? The Jurisprudence of the CJEU on Family Reunification for Static Union Citizens and Third Country National Immigrants

Research output: Contribution to a Journal (Peer & Non Peer)Articlepeer-review

Abstract

Recent case-law of the Court of Justice of the EU relating to the Zambrano line of cases and the Family Reunification Directive show a strong engagement by the Court with fundamental rights. This article places recent developments in broader context and interrogates whether there has been a turn towards fundamental rights in the Courts family reunification jurisprudence, or just a swerve.
