Abstract

A simple and inexpensive procedure is described for the solid-state cultivation of fungi in plastic bags. This procedure, which provides for aeration, humidification and temperature control, may be used for extracellular enzyme production or upgrading of agricultural residues. It should be especially useful where resources are limited.
