Abstract
Heat production values, and mean K, Th and U values are presented for various facies of the Galway granite, and compared with other British and Irish granites. The main Galway granite is classed as a low to medium heat production granite, but the Murvey granite has high heat production values. Radio-element values increase with fractionation. -R.E.
